Sparky

( April 2000 - July 2009)
 

"In memory of my beloved Sparky. He was my first dog and a core part of my life for almost a decade. "

   

Born on April 4th, 2000
Sparky is my first dog. Here he is at 10 weeks old.
   

Goldens are very mouthy dogs. Sparky likes chewing on twigs and raw cow hide.
   

July 9th, 2000
Sparky with some chew toys from Kmart. He chewed up and swallowed one of the legs of the yellow star toy seen here. I no longer give him soft chew toys without supervision.

   

August 13th, 2000
Sparky likes to look out the window at moving things. Unlike other dogs, I'm not sure why he seldom barks. I hear him trying to bark sometimes so maybe he's still learning.

Sparky's getting big! It's hard to believe how much he's grown when I compare him to his puppy photos.

   

Sparky loves the snow!
   


  Over there! Who's that! Every time I say that he stands to attention and starts looking around.

   


 The boy looks relaxed!

 He enjoys plowing his body through the snow

   


 I bet he could fall asleep in the snow!
