| I mounted the MAX233 chip upside down (using double sided foam tape) on the upper left side of the main board. The 1/8" stereo phono jack is mounted to the left shell (seen here near my thumb). I used thin wire wrap wire for the connections. |

| This is a side view showing the MAX233 chip and phone jack clearance. In my second Super I-Cybie modification, I mounted the chip and jack to the back button insert due to the better clearance above the main board (look at all the space in the rear above the board). Click here for mod 2. |
